01 / DISCLAIMER

Purpose and scope

EngineersCalc provides general-purpose engineering calculators, supporting explanations, guided workflows and, where available, Engineering Artifacts. These tools support technical analysis within their stated models and assumptions; they are not a professional engineering opinion, independent design verification, certification or regulatory approval.

This disclaimer applies to the currently available free EngineersCalc service. The suitability of any result depends on the particular calculator or workflow, its definition, input data and the real operating conditions.

02 / DISCLAIMER

Inputs, assumptions and units

Users must check every input, unit, sign convention, selected method, material parameter, coefficient and boundary condition. Default values, examples, prefilled entries and reference material may be illustrative rather than appropriate for a particular project.

Incorrect, incomplete, inconsistent or outdated inputs can produce plausible-looking but unsuitable results. In particular, dimensional consistency does not establish physical validity.

03 / DISCLAIMER

Models and calculation limits

Each tool evaluates a bounded mathematical or engineering model, not every relevant failure mode, hazard, manufacturing variation or service condition. Its applicability may depend on simplifying assumptions, geometrical limits, loading regimes, environmental conditions or data that the tool does not explicitly request.

The presence of a numerical answer does not establish that a method is applicable. Users should consult the tool-specific methodology, equations, limitations, warnings and available source notes. Not every tool provides the same level of explanation or supporting metadata.

04 / DISCLAIMER

PASS, FAIL, WARNING and other statuses

Where a tool shows PASS, it indicates that its defined criterion or criteria were satisfied for the supplied inputs and assumptions at the time of that calculation. PASS does not establish overall safety, fitness for purpose, legal compliance or approval of a component, assembly, machine or installation.

FAIL indicates that one or more evaluated criteria were not satisfied; WARNING indicates a flagged issue, limitation or condition requiring attention. INFO or a missing status must not be interpreted as an approval. A status is meaningful only alongside the specific test, numerical results and context from which it was derived.

05 / DISCLAIMER

Standards, codes and external references

References to standards (including ISO, EN, DIN, IEC or other technical designations) may identify a method, parameter, material class or technical context. Such references do not mean that EngineersCalc is affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by a standards body, nor that a calculation constitutes full compliance with a referenced standard.

Standards can be updated, superseded or amended and may require licensed access to the authoritative text. Users must verify the current applicable edition, national implementation, contractual requirements and any additional testing or documentation obligations. No copyrighted standard is incorporated or reproduced in full by implication.

06 / DISCLAIMER

Professional judgement and independent verification

The person responsible for a design, product, operation or engineering decision remains responsible for checking inputs, selecting appropriate analytical methods and safety factors, reviewing outcomes and arranging independent calculations, testing or peer review when warranted.

EngineersCalc is not a substitute for a qualified engineer, competent person, notified body, accredited laboratory or any authorization required by law or contract. Do not rely solely on a calculation output where an error could cause injury, environmental harm, substantial property damage or other consequential loss.

07 / DISCLAIMER

Engineering Artifacts and traceability

An Engineering Artifact may preserve a finalized execution record, including some inputs, calculation steps, interpretations, timestamps and integrity metadata, depending on the available tool and version. Such records support review and repeatability but do not independently prove the correctness of input data, the completeness of the model or compliance with safety regulations.

Checksums and server-side integrity checks are mechanisms for detecting changes to stored records. They are not qualified electronic signatures, third-party attestations, test certificates or evidence that a design has been formally approved. A PDF export is a representation of an execution record, not a certified engineering report.

08 / DISCLAIMER

Software changes and reproducibility

Calculators, models, coefficients, application logic, interfaces and displayed explanations may be corrected or updated. Results from different software versions, calculation methods, assumptions or input sets may differ. Preserve the relevant version details and independent project documentation when reproducibility matters.

Previously generated records may remain associated with earlier methods or display conventions. Users should re-evaluate results when design inputs, applicable standards, conditions or the tool itself change.

09 / DISCLAIMER

Availability and data preservation

Tools and exports may be temporarily unavailable, incomplete or affected by browser settings, network failures or third-party services. Some saved calculations and artifact mirrors use browser storage; clearing that storage or changing devices can make local records unavailable. Server-saved artifacts are subject to the service’s actual storage and account-management features.

Keep independent, secure copies of any calculations, source data and supporting evidence needed for engineering decisions. EngineersCalc should not be the sole archive for irreplaceable project documentation.

10 / DISCLAIMER

No universal assurance; mandatory rights

The operator makes no representation that any tool will be suitable for every design or that its outputs will be free from defects, omissions or mistakes. Any disclaimer or limitation must be interpreted subject to applicable mandatory law and cannot exclude legal rights or liability where exclusion is prohibited.

This disclaimer must be read together with the Terms of Service and the tool-specific technical documentation. In the event of conflicting technical indications, do not interpret the broader wording here as extending the actual scope of verification provided by a particular tool.

11 / DISCLAIMER

Operator and questions

EngineersCalc is operated by Daniel Mrowiński, an individual, ul. Starołęcka 110, 61-341 Poznań, Poland. For technical feedback, questions about this document or a suspected calculation defect, email [email protected].

When reporting a suspected issue, identify the tool, available version, assumptions and a reproducible non-confidential example where possible. Do not send confidential project material or unnecessary personal data unless essential.

Questions about these calculations?

For questions about a method, interpretation or possible defect, contact EngineersCalc. Do not submit confidential information unless necessary.
